A man was detained in C'River for using a stick to kill his mother.

The Cross River State Police Command has detained a man named Mathias Amunde on suspicion of using a stick to kill his mother in the state's Obudu Local Government Area.

 

The suspect and an accomplice tossed his mother's body into a well after smashing her with a stick and dragging her outdoors.

He said "Walcot and I killed her," We used a stick to kill her. He has gone to his home, Walcot. Walcot dragged him out of the house after we killed him, and we both dragged him to the well".

"I opened the well when we arrived, and we both carried and threw her body into it."

 Irene Ugbo of the State Police Public Relations Office, Said the suspect is now at  the police headquarters for further investigation.
