Just Minutes After Donald Trump Took Office On Monday, January 20, Administration Officials Blocked A Mobile App That Allowed Migrants To Make Appointments At The U.S.-Mexico Border.

Following President Trump's shutdown of an app that facilitated migrant crossings into the United States, a distraught migrant woman wept in agony at the southern border.

Shortly after taking office, the president eliminated the CBP One app, which moved Colombian woman Margelis Tinoco, who was waiting to enter the United States, to tears.

The app abruptly went blank, trapping her as she attempted to pass into El Paso from the nearby Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez.

 Yaime Perez, a Cuban immigrant who had intended to enter the US and apply for asylum using the CBP One app, was also seen on camera in a dejected state.

When Trump assumed office, all of the app's pending appointments were essentially canceled, which sent panic through individuals wishing to enter the United States.

Since its creation, an estimated one million people have used CBP One, which the Biden administration used to help speed up migrant entry into the US.

In addition to assisting asylum seekers schedule appointments, the app was well-liked by travelers who wanted to expedite airport security checks.
