Israel Won't Start
A Cease-Fire In Gaza Until It Has A List Of The Hostages That Need To Be
Released.
On
Sunday morning, January 19, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed
the Israeli Defense Forces that until Hamas releases the names of Israeli
hostages, the cease-fire deal with Hamas will not start on Sunday as planned.
Since
Hamas has not yet revealed the identities of the hostages, Netanyahu stated
that the IDF will carry on with its ongoing strikes inside Gaza.
IDF
spokesman Daniel Hagari said.
"As of this morning, Hamas has not fulfilled its obligation, and contrary to the agreement, has not provided the State of Israel with the names of the returning female hostages up to this time. The ceasefire will not come into effect as long as Hamas does not fulfill its obligations,"
Local
health experts in the Hamas-run administration say Israel's offensive has
killed around 46,000 Palestinians, including militants and civilians alike.
