On Monday, February 10, gunmen posing as bandits broke into the Dogon Ruwa Community in the Wase local government area of Plateau state and kidnapped a man, his wife, and his daughter.
Shapi’i Sambo, a local youth leader who verified the occurrence, claimed that the gunmen entered the neighborhood and began firing intermittently to frighten residents away before kidnapping their victims.
Sambo in a statement said
“When the gunmen arrived the community, people were going about their normal activities. The gunmen started shooting sporadically to disperse residents.
Many people fled to safety. Unfortunately, a man, wife and child were abducted. The armed men came with sophisticated weapons”
DSP Alabo Alfred, the spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, has not yet responded to the event.
