GUNMEN KILL ECWA PASTOR IN GOMBE

Reverend Bala Galadim has been killed by gunmen.The death of  presiding clergyman of the Evangelical Church Winning All in Lubo community, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area, was verified by the Gombe State Police Command on Sunday. The event took place early on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

DSP Buhari Abdullahi, the State Police Command spokesperson, verified the occurrence and stated that it was a robbery case.

“The issue is a robbery because they entered the house at night and maybe they attempted to rob him,” the PPRO said. “Unfortunately, from the way he was shot in the back, maybe he was trying to escape, which is natural and normal, and he was shot.”

The shooters entered the pastor's home from a facility for civil defense troops, according to a local who went by Ahmadu.

Before moving on to a nearby compound where they took some cash, they first went to the local ECWA Church. We found out that the pastor was shot when he peeped after hearing the noise outside, but they didn't come for him. A bullet struck him in the back.
