Just in Man shot dead in suspected cult attack in Ogun state Nigeria.

Abdulazeez Olatunji Ojoro, 34, was shot dead on Sunday, February 24, 2025, at around 10:10 p.m. in the Oluwo neighborhood of Adigbe in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, in what looks to be a rival cult attack.

According to police investigations, the deceased AbdulAzeez's death was caused by his claimed involvement in the local illegal drug trade.

State release by the Nigeria police states that:

“Upon receiving a distress call about a shooting incident, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Adigbe promptly deployed a team of detectives to the scene”, the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Omolola Odutola  

“A closer examination revealed that he had sustained fatal gunshot wounds on his left eye and right chest, indicating that he was shot at close range,”

In order to stop additional violence and find the perpetrators, AbdulAzeez's lifeless body has been placed in a mortuary and constant patrols have been stepped up in the neighborhood.
