On Thursday evening, 46-year-old Richard Lee Tabler received a lethal injection at the Huntsville state prison.
Before his death, Tabler, who was found guilty of the murders of a strip club manager and another man but admitted to taking two more lives, made a last-ditch effort to express his contrition.
Tabler said, "There is not a day that goes by that I don't regret my actions,' 'No amount of my apologies will ever return them to you.

'I'm sorry,' he mouthed again as the pills started, and then his respiration quickened. He paused after a dozen or so breaths.
In 2004, Tabler was put to death for the killings of 25-year-old Haitham Zayed and 28-year-old Mohammed-Amine Rahmouni.
