- MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR KILLING MORTUARY OWNER IN RIVERS STATE
A Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt has sentenced a middle-aged man named Eze Kingsley to death for killing the late David Wagbara, the owner of a mortuary.
On December 7, 2018, after an argument, Kingsley, a petroleum tanker conductor in Rumuosi Community along the East-West Road in the state's Obio/Akpor local government area, put Wagbara to death.
The deceased's request that the tanker driver move the vehicle from the entrance of his mortuary because it was interfering with his business was the catalyst for the argument. This became very heated, and the deceased was stabbed by the prisoner who died from his wounds.
Justice Omah Diepreye, the trial judge, rendered a decision in which he concluded that the prosecution had proven his case beyond a reasonable doubt.
